After many delays, for various reasons, a start has at last been made with the tar-sealing of the main road between Cambridge and Hamilton.

Two theatrical companies, 40 Australian school teachers, some commercial travellers., a concert parly, ordinary travellers, New Zealanders returning to their homeland for Christmas, and about 20 "real" tourists constituted the passengers on the Marama, which arrived at Auckland from Sydney yesterday.
