MORRINSVILLE.

The Weather and Crops.

Nice showers have fallen in all parts of the district every day since Sunday, doing an immense amount of good to Ihe pastures, growing crops and gaydens. A few farmers have been caught with their hay, but a lot of hay and ensilage was saved in splendid condition during the long spell of fine weather, and the rain is doing so much good that .even those farmers Willi hay out, are not complaining, feeling sure, that the rain will cease before much damage has been done.

The rise in the price of butler, the high price being paid for fat lambs, the

abundance of grass everywhere, and the prospect of being able to get money at a greatly reduced rate of interest, as promised by Sir Joseph Ward, will make the coming Christmas the merriest experienced by the farmers for many years.
