TRAINING AT ELLERSLIE.

TO-DAY’S TRACK WORK. LITTLE OF IMPORTANCE. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Saturday. There was not much important work at Ellerslie owing to the non-arrival yet of the Southern competitors on No. 2 grass track this morning. Thursby and War Oilicer ran the last six of ten furlongs in 1.23. Corinax and Perception were sent over a circuit, the last half-mile taking 53 3-ss. Sir Russell ran six furlongs in 1.24. Golden Wedding took 1.22 for six furlongs. Modest Boy and Hyde Park did six furlongs in 1.21 3-5. Lomint beat Sleepy Sol over six furlongs in 1.20 2-5. Lady’s Boy, from a standing start, heat Bennie in a half-mile flutter, in 52 2-ss. Good Boy ran six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. ALEXANDRA RACING CLUB. the handicaps.
