A message from Richmond states that Petersford station was destroyed by Are on Thursday night. "The building is alleged to have been set on fire by a well-known resident of the district, who is alleged also -to have fired a shot at Mr McMillan, ttie owner of the station, but missed. The man, who is said to be out of his mind, then cleared into the bush with a rifle. A police party is out searohing. It is feared he may commit suicide
