roy S Lawrv, of Christchurch, has been visiting Cambridge in connection with business matters connected vuth the Methodist Connexional l'uncis. Mr T T Grose, general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, has been elected to the chairmanship of the Associated Banks. Mr Giosc has been visiting Hamilton.
In the degree examinations, the results of which have been issued by the University of New Zealand, T. 11. Knights, of Hamilton, passed in the medical intermediate section. Mr Knights was for three years at he Waikato Hospital, and intends to enter the Baptist Medical Mission field.
Mr O J. Thedens, who is engaged as "a general importer in Auckland, has received official intimation from the \ustrian Government that he has been appointed official honorary correspondent to the Austrian Foreign service and Combined Chambers of Commerce-
