BOWLING.
CAMBRIDGE CLUB, “AT HOME.” LARGE NUMBER OF VISITORS. The Cambridge Bowling Club held an “At Home” on its greens on Saturday. The weather was ideal for bowling, and the greens were in good condition. There were a number of visiting teams present, the clubs represented being—Frankton, Putaruru, Otorohanga, Whitiora, Frankton Railways and Taupiri. Several clubs sent apologies for unavoidable absence. The president of the Cambridge Club (Mr M. Butler) welcomed the visitors. The scores were as follows: Thorpe, Garland, Sutherland, Dix (s), 23 v. Six rinks from the Hamilton and Te Awamutu Bowling Clubs met on Saturday at the former’s green. Hamilton won four of the games and were 29 points up on the aggregate.
