MOTORING ACCIDENTS.
YOUNG MAN INJURED. CAR AND CYCLE COLLIDE. OPOTIKI, Sunday. A young man, Mr T. Selwyn, was admitted to the Opotiki Hospital this •. afternoon as the result of a collision between a motor-cycle he was riding and a car driven by Miss Murray, of Opotiki. Mr Selwyn sustained severe injuries to the head and abrasions on his body. MOTOR CYCLIST FRACTURES LEG. AUCKLAND, Monday: • A motor cyclist, Mr John Keith Brown, aged 25, of Epsom, was admitted to the Hospital with a fractured leg, received in a collision with, a milk van.
FLUNG TO THE ROAD. WHANGAREI, Sunday. While riding on the rear of a load * of sawn timber which was being carried on a lorry from Whangarei to Waipu last evening Mr T. Gibson, of Waipu, .was flung to the roadway and rendered unconscious. PINNED BENEATH LORRY. ’CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. As the result of a street collision yesterday Mr V. M. Hooper, the driver nf a light lorry, was pinned under neath the vehicle and his left leg was severely injured. \ timber truck was badly damaged through collision with a tree on the side of the Roto-o-rangi road, Cam bridge The vehicle, which was owned bv Mr Colin Tuck was in charge of Mr E Parry at the time of the accident The driver and a companion escaped with a few cuts .andbruisea.
