AVIATION IN BRITAIN.
MUNICIPAL AIR PORT. MANCHESTER TO THE FORE. 'By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association j. LONDON, Nov. 6. The Air Ministry has sanctioned the establishment of Britain's first municipal air port at Manchester, using a level expanse of 260 acres, seven miles from the city. It is described as one of the best natural aerodromes in the country. The Lord-Mayor declares: "We want a direct service to the Continent. We will not. lie satisfied with linking up with Croydon."
