SCHOOL SPORTS.
i . —— SUCCESSFUL DAY AT DIOCESAN GIRLS' SCHOOL. Crowds of friends of the School attended the first sports day of the Diocesan Girls' School yesterday afternoon. The weather was pleasantly fine except for a slight shower towards the end of the afternoon. The events followed one another quickly and some excellent performances were given by the competitors. Afternoon tea was served, and the day ended after a very pleasant time had ibeen spent by all. Miss N'eeker received her guests wearing a smart frock of cocoa-brown pleated crepe de chine heavily emI broidered in russet and gold. ] Among the many present I noticed: Mesdames J.
