FANCY DRESS BALL.

SUCCESS AT OHAUPO. A children's fancy dress ball was held in the Memorial Hall, Ohaupo, in aid of the Anglican Church funds. A few adults were in fancy dress. Miss E. Field as a Fisher Girl, nnd Miss Anniss as Lettuce, and Mrs Birnie as a Balloon Seller, distributed gailycoloured balloons among the children. The children in fancy dress were: Betty Field, Kcwpie; Margaret, Smillie, Gipsy Girl; Beryl Kelly, Bathing Girl; Neslar Tapp, Eastern Lady; Carry Hutchinson. Night; Marcia Tye, Punch; Joyce Sage, Judy; Frank Harrington, Jockey; Helen Field. Rosebud; Joyce Titmarsh, Powder Putt"; Ron Titmarsh. The children danced till about 10 o'clock, when supper was served, which they keenly enjoyed. Mrs Taylor acted as M.C. for the children, and Mr T. Turnvvald ior_ the .adults.
