GOLF.
NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. Sir Alexander Roberts and Messrs W. A. Kicly, L. 0. If. Tripp, M. .1. Crombie and W. K. A. Gill were present at the monthly meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council. Mr W. E. A. Gill was rc-clccted chairman and Sir Alexander Roberts vice-chairman. The question of the formation of district sub-associations, regarding which a recommendation was passed at the "annual general meeting, was considered, and it was decided that in tile meantime an amending rule to the association's constitution should be drafted and circulated to clubs for their consideration. It was further resolved to write to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews lor details regarding the working of subassociations, and also to Mr C. 11. Redhead. In connection with the championship meeting held at Dunedin, if was agreed to provide an additional miniature of the Jcllicoe Cup, which has resulted in a tie between Mr T. 11. Ilorton and E. S. Douglas. With regard to next year's tournament it was decided to notify the Wanganui Golf Club that the council would Have a preliminary inspection of the Belmont course made, with a view to holding the championship meeting there next year. The matter of standard scratch scores was considered, and it was resolved to notify all clubs 'that the standard scratch scores allotted lo them should be adopted as from January 1. As a preliminary step toward Hie arrangements for the next KirkWindeycr Cup competition a letter will be sent to the Australian Golf Union advising that New Zealand was prepared to sejid over a team next year.
