HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS
MEETING OF COUNCIL. REUNION A- GREAT SUCCESS. The committee of the Hamilton High School Old Boys' Association met last Friday, when Mr Clayton-Greene presided. The meeting was called to pass the accounts incurred at the annual reunion, which were explained by the secretary, Mr Colin Speight. In discussing the reunion Mr Speight said that it was by far the most successful, socially and financially, yet held, there being a small profit on the dance and the deficit on the dinner being one-third of what it has been on previous occasions. ' All the accounts, except the one for carting, were unanimously adopted, the cartage bill being Jeft in the hands of the secretary. In connection with the Boys' Hostel, Mr Clayton-Greene said that nothing further could be done until the reply from the Minister of Education was received in regard to the petition signed by delegates from the principal institutions in the town. The following resolution, moved by Mr Speight, was unanimously adopted- " That it be a suggestion to the Board of Governors and the bodies concerned that where future vacancies on the Board occur the claims of the Old Boys of the school lo further representation on the Board be given consideration."
