BREAKING AND ENTERING.
ACCUSED REMANDED. ALLEGED THEFT AT OHAUPO. A charge of breaking and entering the shop of Langford Dutton Kemp, at Ohaupo, and stealing 18s. therefrom on Saturday last was preferred against Roy Norris alias William Allen, aged 25 "in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court this morning. Accused was remanded until Wednesday. A SMART ARREST. THE TELL-TALE HEEL MARK. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.) TE AWAMUTU, Monday. A smart arrest was affected yesterday by the Te Awamutu police and Detective White, of Hamilton. Receiving word during the morning that Iwo shops at Ohaupo had been burglarised during the night and small sums of money taken Constables Forsyth and Hooker investigated. The only clue obtainable was a peculiarlyshaped boot beet mark in a garden alongside one shop. it was decided to investigate the, movements of Roy Norris, an inmate of the Waiknto hospital. His boots made a similar mark, and he was arrested .and charged with burglary.
