Gentlemen in their second innings lost nine for 302—Carr 63, Robins 87, Fender 60. Gentlemen won by one wicket. Thornton’s team in their first innings made 293. Tate took five wickets for 71. The M.G.C.-Australian team in their second innings lost five wickets for 236 and declared—Ednest Tyldcsley 75, Levland 76. Thorntons in their second innings lost three wickets for IS9—Dulcepsinhji 68, Wyatt, not out, 95. The match was drawn. Kent in their second innings made 394—J. Bryan 14 0. Maryiebone in their second innings lost six wickets for 289.—A. Gilligan 88, Russell 81. Freeman, who took four wickets for 117, brought his season's total to 291, beating Tom Richardson's 25-year-old record of 290. Maryiebone won byfour wickets. «
