LEADS TO AN ASSAULT. YOUNG MAN FINED £5. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Monday. Resenting some remarks passed, according to counsel, about New Zealanders and New Zealand football Walter Norris, a young clerk, assaulted John Weir in a fish shop on Saturday night. He was fined £5, in default a month’s imprisonment, £2 10s of the fine to he paid to Weir for medical expenses.
