WEDDINGS.

j FEIST—PARLOUR. The bride and her parents being so well known in district, great interest was taken in the wedding, in St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Morrinsville, on Wednesday evening, of Miss Lydia Margery Parlour, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Parlour, Morrinsvillc, to Mr Allan Chappie Feist, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. M. Feist, Awakari, Bay of Plenty. Rev. F. W. Wilkes officiated. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride with spring flowers and greenery,, and was packed with friends and relations of the bride and bridegroom. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, looked exceedingly prelty in a dress of fleshcoloured georgette, with diamante trimmings, and a beautiful bridal veil of Brussels lace, with orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf, bouquet of freesias, sweet peas, and asparagus and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids, sisters of the bride, were becomingly dressed. Miss Mary Parlour’s frock was of airforce blue georgette, and she wore a pearl necklace, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Margaret Parlour was attired in a dress of rose georgette, and she carried a gold armlet presented by the bridegroom. Both carried pretty bouquets. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Masonic Hall, at which 80 guests were present. Mrs Parlour received her guests in a mushroomcoloured frock, embroidered in blue, with black silk coat and neat hat. Mrs Feist wore black embroidered georgette with black hat and white osprey. An enjoyable dance followed the reception. The newly-married couple were the recipients of many valuable presents from a large circle of friends. On returning from the honeymoon, Mr and Mrs Feist wall take up their residence at Ropuku, near Pokeno. COLLINS—WARD. A very popular wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, Karori, when Kathleen Florence Ward, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs J. G- Ward, of Hamilton, was married to Alfred Keith Collins, chief clerk of the National Bank, head office, Wellington, and younger son of Mr and Mrs A. Collins, of Napier. The bride, who was given away by her mother, was attended by Mrs Mears as matron of honour, while the bridegroom w'as supported by Mr Cecil Pearce as best man. The Rev. Mr Woodward, vicar, was the officiating clergyman. The wedding was of a particularly quiet nature, only immediate relatives and intimate friends attending. The breakfast was given by the bride’s aunt, Miss Parlane, matron at St. Mary’s Home. The presents were numerous, costly and useful, including several cheques, and from the bank staff a beautiful chiming clock, set In an oak case, and an easy chair.
