THE ENGLISH TEAM. THEIR VISIT TO N.Z. FIRST MATCH NEXT WEDNESDAY. SOUTH AUCKLAND AT TAUPIRI. The English League team, which is now on its way across the Tasman, after a successful tour of Australia, will reach Auckland on Monday. They will play the opening game of their New Zealand tour at Taupiri on Wednesday afternoon next, when they will oppose the South Auckland representatives. The match Is being looked, forward to with great interest by followers of all codes of football and a big crowd is expected at the Taupiri Domain, which will be found in excellent playing order for the game. Strong Touring Side. The English side is a very strong one and, although it had its defeats on the Australian tour, it was capable of winning two of the three Tests played. The public can look forward to class football from the travelling side next Wednesday. Showing Good Form. The South Auckland thirteen showed its capability at Auckland--'On Wednesday, when it defeated a good home thirteen in a fast and open game. In opposition to the Englishmen, the South Auckland team can be expected to put up a very creditable showing.
