KITCHEN EVENING.
NEWLY-MARRIEDS HONOURED. . __J On Tuesday, the 24th, an enjoyable kitchen evening was given in iionour of Air and Airs F. Matthews to mark the occasion of their recent marriage. The time passed quickly and pleasantly with games and competitions, interspersed with songs by Airs J. Osborne and Master Billy Osborne. Mr C. Haultain, as M.C., carried out his duties in his usual efficient manner.
.After a dainty supper had been served by the ladies Air and Airs Matthews were called upon to open the parcels, which were found to contain a good assortment of articles for the kitchen. Air Matthews, on behalf of his wife and himself, thanked all present for their gifts, which he was sure would prove to be very useful. The evening was brought to a close by the singing of “For they are jolly good fellows.”
