CATHEDRAL BRANCH ENTERTAINS.

A hilarious evening was spent on Wednesday night last when the Cathedral. Young People's Club held their first social evening of the season. The feature of the evening was the mock banquet which was a great success, with its delightfully original menu and toast performance. Mrs 11. C. Ross and Mrs Curling acted as hostesses and Miss Delia Clapham and Mr A. Donovan as secretfries were largely responsible for the success of the Competitions and dancing added to the gaiety, while the Right Rev. Dean presided as chairman of the banquet. Among the large number present were: Mesdames Barnctt and Oliver, Misses Harris, fi. Hill, D. Clapham, P. Clapham, Wilson (2), Capper (3), Hodgson, Lightbourne, Kirby, Forrest, Crackncll, Carter, King, Wilcox, Turner, Hewitson, Shaw (2), Reid, Wilson, Perham (2).
