INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. SOME REC OMM END ATI ONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.;—Copyright.) (Times Gables.) (Rec. May 25, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 24. Idie Times’ Geneva correspondent says the International Bird Preservation Conference has successfully concluded It protested against the killing of birds solely for their millinery value. It also resolved recommending the complete cessation of bird-hunting during the mating and rearing periods, and the use of repeating shotguns for shooting wild fowl from motor boats. It strongly disapproved of commerce in wild birds’ eggshells. It recommended an international convention compelling the cessation of ail shooting, trapping or other destruction, and also of all sale or exposure for sale of the game mentioned in countries of the Southern Hemisphere from August 1 until the autumn shooting season.
