BLOW WITH TOMAHAWK.
WOMAN’S ATTACK ON MAN. VICTIM OUT OF DANGER. SERIOUS CHARGE PENDING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. A woman, aged 80, charged with assaulting Charles Wilfred Waldren on May 18, by striking him on the head with a tomahawk was further remanded till June 1. The police stated that the injured man was now out of danger and anticipated that the evidence would disclose sufficient ground for preferring a more serious indictment, it being suggested that she had struck him with the fbinahuwk while he was asleep. The woman’s name was suppressed.
