Denmark, at Copenhagen (second round), Artens (Austria) defeated Petersen, 6—4, 6—2, 7—5, and Matejka (Austria) defeated Ulrich, G—l, 6—2, 6—2. NEW YORK, May 23. For the first time since the United States won the Davis Cup from Australia Hie American team will engage in a match without using Tiklcn for the singles. As captain of the team Tilden lias decided to play only in the doubles against China on Saturday. Lott (United States) will meet Kong and Hennessy will meet Lum in the singles.
