COMPETITION PLAY. ATTRACTIONS’ AT HINEMOA PARK. HAMILTON TO PLAY lIUNTLY, In tlic main League attraction arranged for Hincmoa Park on Saturday Hamilton will meet Huntly, and spectators should be provided with a fast, exciting and open game. The. Hamilton, Huntly and Taupiri learns are all on 'the same level as regards points for the South Auckland Shield. The local team stand every chance of winning, and before the curtain falls on the season they should provide high-class football. Hamilton defeated Taupiri early in the season, and Taupiri defeated Huntly, last year’s winners of the shield. The game to-morrow will start at 3 p.m. Hamilton and Taupiri Juniors will provide the curtain-raiser. This game will start at 2 p.m. • The Hamilton senior team will be selected from the following: Everest (2), Muir (3), Astle, Hilt, Taylor, Ydrnall (2), Woodhall, Hogg, U. Quinn, A. ENGLISH TEAM’S TOUR. AUCKLAND, Friday. The council of the New Zealand Rugby League met last evening. Following a letter from Hie Canterbury Rugby League, Mr J. Carlaw made an appeal for a test match against the English team lo be played at Christchurch. Ho said Canterbury’s claim should be given every consideration, as he was certain that the code would greatly benefit from such a game.
