INFLUENCE IN AVIATION. COMPANY’S STOCK JUMPS. WHEN HE ACCEPTS POSITION. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn—-Copyright.) (Australian Press Association). (Received May 24, 9.55 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 23. The importance of Colonel Lindbergh as an outstanding figure in American aviation was again demonstrated when, following an announcement Lhat ho had accepted a technical adviser’s position with the Transcontinental Air Transport Company, all aeroplane and accessory slocks jumped from 5 to 16 points on the Stock Exchange. Colonel Lindbergh gave an interview, and made it clear that while he had agreed to furnish advice to the new company, which is engaged .in a combination of rail and ’plane transport, lie was not exclusively associated’ therewith, and will •continue his other air activities.
