THE GERMAN ELECTIONS.

ANXIETY IN PARIS. EVACUATION OF RHINELAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—copyright.) (Times Cables.) LONDON, May 23. The Paris correspondent of the Times, referring to the result of the general election in Germany, says it is generally pointed out in the French capital that a price will be asked for peaceful co-operation. The opinion is expressed that the first action of any German Government which bases its support on the Democrats and Socialists will be to ask for the evacuation of the Rhineland as a logical consequence of the Locarno security pact. Some anxiety is felt -in Paris as to how tiie new German Government’s financial policy will affect the carrying out of the Dawes plan.
