PERSONAL.
The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson were present at the address given by Miss Maude Royden in the East Street Hall. On June 4 Their Excellencies will give an official dinner party at Government House in honour of the King’s Birthday. During his visit to Morrinsville next Monday, the Prime Minister, Hon. .1. G. Coates, will open the new school dental clinic. Mr Campbell Johnstone, the chairman, was -appointed at yesterday’s meeting to represent the Raglan County at the annual conference of delegates to the New Zealand Counlies’ Association, at Wellington, on July 17.
Mr K. M. Wright, engineer to the Raglan County Council, was unanimously granted leave of absence by the council at its meeting yesterday. |,o enable him to visit Australia. Mr Wright will leave next Friday.
