FRIESIAN ASSOCIATION.

SOUTH AUCKLAND BRANCH. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual meeting of the South Auckland branch of the New Zealand Friesian Association will he held on Wednesday next, 30th inst., when the following report will be submitted: — Meetings: During the year the executive has met in Hamilton a number of times. Advertising: In addition to the stall at the Winter Show, advertising space was taken in the Waikato Times for three months. A large number of the 500 illustrated pamphlets secured last year have also been distributed. Shows: Contributions to the prize money in the Friesian section of the following shows have been made: Waikato A. and P. Association £ls 15s, Whikato Central A. and P. Association £5 ss, Te Aroha A. and P. Association £5 ss, Morrinsville A. and P. Association £5 ss; total, £3l 10s. The attention of members is drawn to the following arrangements which have been made during Show week: May 30, branch’s annual meeting, 1.30 p.m.; May 31, N.Z. Friesian Association’s annual meeting, 2.15 p.m.; June 1, conference of official judges and demonstration to be held on the property of the estate of T. O. Hodgson, Tamaherc; tour of district to follow above. Members and those interested are cordially invited to attend. Sales: On May 30 the combined breeders’ female sale will take place, at which a large number of Friesians will be offered; on June 5, Mr Jas. Hart’s sale at Morrinsville. An attendant will be at the show stall to answer any enquiries. Members arc requested to make this a real Friesian week and to help to stimulate interest in the breed.
