HAMILTON ROTARIANS.
LADIES' DAY. MIGHT OF THE EMPIRE. MR. WILLIAM HEUGAN'S ADDRESS. Hamilton Rotarians entertained their wives at their fortnightly luncheon today. Amongst the guests were Mr William Heughan, the Scottish actor •singer, and his wife. After luncheon Mr. Heughan gave an exceedingly interesting talk on his travels round the world. Summing up bis impressions his chief one was the might of the British Empire. In every corner of the globe where the British flag flew, and it seemed to fly everywhere, they found justice and good government, which made one feel proud to be a Britisher. Mr Heughan made a strong appeal for inter-Empire trade and urged New Zealanders, wherever possible, to buy British goods. The British workmen who produced those goods were buying New Zealand produce, whereas foreign countries and particularly the United States, was doing all it could, while taking as much money from the Empire, to keep British goods out of the States. '.'Let us trade with our own," he concluded. ''The EJmpire produces everything we. w4ht, and let us keep our money amongst ourselves." —Applause. ~
