REDUCTION SUGGESTED. BY LEAGUE'S TARIFF COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph.—Press Assp.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) (Received May 23, 8.40 a.m.) GENEVA, May 22. It is understood the Tariffs Committee set up by the League suggests that a continuous effort should be made to reach a collective agreement for a general reduction to tariffs, commencing with particular groups of commodities, especially articles most important to economic life. The agreement should cover as many stages of production as possible, having regard to the fact if the reductions are limited to duties on raw material or semi-finished articles, these reductions will increase the pro-' teclion for these products in the later stages of manufacture.
