Mr Douglas Hay, of Hamilton, manager of the New Zealand touring cricket team, who returned to New Zealand on Sunday, came to Hamilton last evening /and left again for Auckland this- morning.
Empire Hotel guests include Messrs J. G. Sullivan, 11. Manning, Mr and Mrs L. Armstrong, Mrs R. Gibson, Mrs E. Wilkinson, Mrs T. Husband (Auckland), and Mr T. R. Jeram (Wellington ).

The French President, M. Doumergue, has conferred on Mr Norman Brookes, the famous Australian lawn tennis piaver. the Order of a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, in recognition of his distinguished tennis career and his services to the French tennis players in Australia^
