HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., reports:— At the weekly stoek market in the Frankton yards yesterday we had a full yarding, principally of cow and heifer beef, and the demand for good quality prime cattle was equal to last week's rates. Light fat steers made from £lO 12s to £l2 12; small and young, £8; good quality prime heavy cows, £lO to £11; medium weights, £8 10s to £9 17s Gd; light and young fat cows and heifers, £7 to £8; unfinished, £4 15s to £o'lss; cows, boners, £3 10s to £4 10s; small vealcrs sold to 395: store cows, £2 15s to £3 ss; culls, 2s to £2 Is; dairy cows and heifers at profit. £8 to £9. A small entry of mutton, was offered, and all classes advanced in values. Fat wethers, 35s 3d; extra good prime 2-tooth ewes, 36s 2d; heavy iprime ' lambs, 30s; medium prime woolly, 2Gs Id. A full yarding of fat pigs came forward, and competition was keen at last week's rates. Prime heavy baconers, £4 8s to £4 16s; medium weight baconers, £3 15s to £4; light baconers, £3 3s to £3 8s; heavy porkers, £2 10s to £2 15s; light porkers, 30s to 375; slips, 13s to 16s; weaners, 6s to 10s. The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd., reports:—At the Hamilton sale there was a heavier yarding of beef than usual. The greater portion realised late rates, but in the latter stages the demand weakened, and here prices were easier. A good "entry of fat sheep met with brisk competition, and sold at advanced 'rates. There was a keen demand for store wethers. A small entry of store ■cattle and springers sold fairly well. We quote:—Fat steers, £l3 16s; lighter, £9 7s 6d to £ll 10s; fat cows, £8 18s to £9 15s; lighter, £6 19s to £7 10s; plain fat cows, £5 10s to £6 ss; veal calves, £2 18s to £3; boner cows, £3 to £4 ss; weancr steers, £1 14s to £2 10s; dairy cows, £5 to £7 15s; Jersey heifers, close to profit, £9 to £l2; fat wethers, £1 Lis to £1 17s 6d; fat ewes, £1 4s to £1 7s 6d; fat lambs, £1 7s 3d; 2-tooth store wethers, £1 9s 6d. Pigs: Heavy ■ baconers, £4 8s to £4 13s; medium, £3 18s to £4 ss; light baconers and heavy porkers £3 to £3 13s; porkers, £2 7s to £2 15s; others, £1 10s to £1 18s: slips, 18s to £1 2s; weaners, 8s to 12s; smaller, 3s to 6s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale at Frank»on yesterday. There was a large entry of beef, but only a small proportion of prime quality. Fat bullocks made £l2 2s Gd. For extra prime • quality late prices were well maintained. Extra choice young cows and heifers sold at up to £-0 ,17s Gd. On account of Mr Vere Chilly an extra heavy good quality Polled Angus cow sold at £ls ss, and was purchased by Messrs Ay'ars and Smith, after very keen competition. Ordinary cows>and heifers made from £6 to £7 17s Gd; ligHt and inferior cows and heifers, £5 to £6 ss; runners, £3 J7s Gd to £4 6s; vealcrs, up to £3 2s 6d. There was a moderate yarding of fat sheep, i which sold at 2s to 2s Gd above last ] week's rates. Best fat wethers made | 35s to 36s 3d; fat ewes, medium quality, 25s Gd to 27s Gd; heavy fat ewes, 28s 3d; fat shorn lambs, 25s 6d. A line of 300 4 and G-tooth wethers made 33s 3d; 1068 ditto, 32s 3d; 130 ditto, 28s. A pen of full-mouthed ewes in lamb made 28s 3d; store lambs, 19s 6d; store ewes, 235. There £ was a large yarding of store and fat :<. pigs. Fats sold at late rates, while stores were a shade easier.
