ANNUAL SALE. BIG BREEDERS PRESENT. The annual offering of pedigree .lersey stock, on behalf of Mr W. H. Miers, conducted by Wright, Stephenson and Co. ;md Abraham and Williams, bid., at. the vendor's farm today, presented an exceptional opportunity lo breeders of securing, some fine blood will) a view lo increasing the productiveness of their herds. Many or Ihe animals brought into the ring were credited with substantial butler fat backing.
The offering comprised 41 head, including 19 stud cows, among which were some of the finest, breeding matrons in the herd, in calf to the famous sires, Te Bapa Lad and Idalia's Royalty. The former has several championships to his credit, and is famous as a sire of prizewinners. Ten rising two-year-old heifers by Te Rapa Lad and Sunbeam Sultan It. (imp.) were a. feature of the sale. One of the herd sires was also included in the catalogue. Ten choice rising year-old bulls by Te Rapa Lad and Sunbeam's Sultan 11. (imp.; gave breeders a unique opportunity of buying in on the right blood for improving their herds. The arrangements for the -sale were excellent, and the large attendance of breeders from all over the North Island was eloquent testimony to the standing of ifche vendor in 'the Jerseyworld. . _____
