TO-DAY’S RECIPE.
CURRIED SARDINES. Drain ttie oil from a tin of sardines into a frying pail. When hot, add a small minced onion, fry it pale yellow, then add a dessertspoonful of- curry powder and a teaspoonful of Hour. Fry for three or four minutes, then stir in a gill of stock or water. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the skin, and bones from the sardines, put them into a greased fireproof dish, pour the curry sauce over, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, put a few pieces of butter here and there over the top, and brown in a moderate oven.
