DAMAGE AT MOUNT MORGAN. BURSTING OF A DAM. CAUSES NIGHT OF TERROR. (United Press Association.) (Received April 23, 10.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, April 23. Immense flood damage has occurred at Mount Morgan Mine. A dam broke following lOin. of rain on Friday, and the water rushed into the houses and shops. The residents spent a night of terror, and looked upon a scene of desolation next morning. The gas mains were exposed and fences down with debris and furniture floating everywhere. Two more are reported drowned— Thomas Major (8) at Glaceville and Kathleen Duffy, a girl, near Rockhampton. A DAMAGED STEAMER. TO BE DOCKED IN SYDNEY. (United Press Association.) (Received April 23, 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 23. The Orama, which was damaged in the Brisbane River during the floods, has reached Sydney and will go into dock. Her departure has been delayed until May.
