COMMANDER DANIEL’S DECISION. SEEKING CIVIL EMPLOYMENT. (Australian Press Association.) LONDON, April 20. The Daily Chronicle says Commander Daniel (who as the result of ttie courtmartial on the Royal Oak dispute was dismissed the ship and placed on halfpay but who the First Lord has since stated will be re-employed when an opportunity occurs) says lie is seeking a civil profession. He has no complaint against the Admiralty’s treatment, hut with such a sentence on record he has no hope of promotion and has satislled himself that the only form of employment in the Navy would he of a nature that would make no appeal to his ambitions.”
