THE ANGLICAN CHURCH.
GENERAL SYNOD CONTINUED. REPORT ON MISSIONS. WELLINGTON, Friday. The twenty-fourth General Synod was continued to-day. The Bishop of Nelson submitted the triennial report of the New Zealand Anglican Board of Missions. He stated that the church had 64 workers in the field, 23 among the Maoris. The board pleaded to the clergy for greater enthusiasm in sounding the mission call, and wanted a more definite and methodical method of contriubuting to the work of the Church. The board paid a high tribute to Revs. I'. R. Redgrave and E. Long for their services.
The report was considered in committee.
Synod dealt with a draft bill for submission to Parliament dealing with the constitution of the Church in New Zealand.
