TRAINING NOTES.

WORK AT ELLERSLIE.

AUCKLAND, Saturday

The weather was showry at Ellersiie this morning for training work hut the rain did not affect the going to any appreciable extent. No. 2 grass track was open and nearly all (he fast work was carried out on this track. On No. 2 grass Bulolo was first to work and ran home from the half-mile post in 5.35. Corinax traversed a round and completed the distance in 1m 455. Thursby and Semicircle sprinted half a mile in 52. There was little between them at the finish. Tidal was going nicely beside Hyde Park at the end of five fui'loiigs in trn 10s. Bombardcr finished well in front of Piet over five furlongs in lm 4 4-ss. Princess Ronnie, with a light-weight aboard, was sent six furlongs and covered the'first three in 30 l-5s and completed the full distance in lm 15 1 - 5 s. Daylight. Hone Hoke and Rluespear were in that order at the end of five furlor.gs, run in lm 5 2-ss. Hone lleko had none Ihe best of the start. Roman Pearl was 100 good for Mon Star. Fungus and Taneriri ever four furlongs, which was run in 52a.

Hipo sprinted home from the three furlongs peg in it 4-ss. without being unduly hurried. Good Boy ran half a mile in 5Gs, but was not doing his best. The Jumpers. Beau Cavalier (Stanway) was sent, over a couple of schooling hurdles, lie negotiated the first one in good style, but going very fast he slipped into the second and was almost down. Rahepoto (G. Holland) was given his first schooling lesson since being put into work recently, lie went over a round of big hurdles and gave a satisfactory display. Wee Marble (T. Williams) jumped a couple of schooling hurdles in good style. He was afterwards sent over the stonewall, and although jumping a bit high his display was promising.
