Mr McLaren has purchased a holding on the Hauraki Plains. Loyal Patetere Lodge. The Loyal * Patetere Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., held a very successful dance ia the Tirau Piiblic Hall on Wednesday, when e. large crowd ilieaded. The prizes won at the annwul sperts were presented by Mrs A. Booney. Music \va»s supplied by the Matamata Orchestra, and Mr B. Syms was M.G. Weight-guessing. The result nf the weight-guessing at the annual sports was as follows: Sheep, live weight 50libs —Mr F. Batley and Mr Harwood tied with sf»ilbs. Personal. / Mrs F. Rose (senr.), of Auckland, is visiting Tirau as the guest of Mr and Mrs F. Rose. Mr Ivan Wilson, ftf Papakura, is a visitor to'Tirau, and is a guest of Mr i and Mrs G. Wilson. I Rev. Brabyn has returned from a | three weeks' visit to Tauranga. i
