PRISONERS SENTENCED.
PALMERSTON N., Friday.
In the Supreme Court, Corneille Hubert D. May Dalkemade, for attempted sale of stock under bailment to the Grown without authority, was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment.
Charles George Wilmot Palmer, indecent assault, received four years.
CASES AT TIMARU.
TIMARU, Friday.
At the Supreme Court Kenneth Gordon Yeitch, who pleaded guilty to a charge of carnal knowledge, was admitted to probation for two years, Mr Justice Adams stating that the sentence must not be taken to mean that a similar course would be adopted in future cases.
Cecil Butler, on a charge of theft of £76 10s, to which he pleaded guilty, was sentenced to reformative treatment for a period not exceeding two years.

FINED £IOO FOR CAUSING HARM
DUNEDIN, Friday
In the Supreme Court Ivan Walter W. Hanning, for breaking, entering and theft at Palmerston South, was admitted to three years’ probation. George Alexander Mason, for receiving stolen goods, received two years’ probation. William McKinnel, for causing bodily harm, was lined £IOO.
