WAITETUNA-RAGLAN.
% Welcome to Visitors. The good people of Raglan have caused to be put up in a conspicuous place a large notice-board welcoming visitors to Raglan. ? Fall of Snow. On the morning of October 25 Pirongia threw over her shoulders a light mantle of snow, and I expect there were many others who admired the .delicate tracery of light and shade as displayed by the beams of the rising sun. This is late for snow on Pirongia. The notes of the shining cuckoo were heard for the first time in this district on October 18. Young fern is also late in making its appearance this year.
