Won by three-quarters of a length, with four lengths between second and third. Time, 3.25 1-5. TE MATAI MAIDEN PLATE. G furlongs. 6 Vigilance, 9.0 1 1 Shining Star, 9.0 2 2 Fee Simple, 9.0 3 Scratched: .Mountain Shot. Won by two lengths, with six lengths between second and third. Time, 1.16 1-5. MANAWATU HUNT CLUB STEEPLES. About 3 miles. 2 Frisco Jack, 10.5 1 4 Birkenose, 9.13 2 5 Risk, 9.7 3 Scratched: Royo, Scornful, Lightmore. Won by five lengths, the third horse being well baok.
