FOREST LAKE SCHOOL.
CHILDREN'S FANCY DRESS DANCE. A most enjoyable dance was held in the Forest Lake School. There was a splendid display of fancy costumes, the prize-winners being: Best fancy dress (over 5 years), Kitty Templar (Early Victorian), and Wilfred Shepherd (Father Christmas); most original, Joan Vane (Baking Powder). Tom McDonald (Swagger) : most humorous, Betty Gibson (Kewpie) ; best paper dress, Mona Bradley (Powder and Patches) : best pair. Joyce and Rhoda Watkins (Indian and Squaw). Children under 5: Sydney Brain (Oliver Twist), Dorothy Ingram (Fain')Children over 5 not attending Forest Lake School: Ken Bradley (Nigger), Lucy Bryant (Gipsy).
