W. C. WOODS' TEAM. SOME USEFUL PERFORMERS. One of the leading' teams in this district is that which W. C. Woods has under his charge at "Aorangi Lodge," which is situated handy to the course at Te Rapa. At "Aorangi Lodge" an up-to-date range of stabling has been completed and with ample run-out paddocks the facilities for affording the thoroughbred, destined for racing needs, the advantages for development, away from the important duty •of actual galloping, could not be bettered. There are eight boxes, two feed rooms and quarters for the stable boys, k'V In addition to six yards and three run- • out paddocks. Transformer, Lorna Doon, Flying Juliet, Prince of Orange, Thurnus and Orchus are the members of this team at present. The horses at present in training are all doing well. Trainer Woods, who had Transformer and Ruffles as the sheet anchor of his team last season had a very successful stake earning period with this pair. With a team augmented in numbers and in racing quality "Aorangi Lodge" promises, with ordinary luck to parade stake earners to a further ■ satisfactory degree during this and immediate seasons.
