ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

SOUTH AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. At the final meeting of the season of the South Auckland Football Association Mr Jas. Baillie presided. A refund of the guarantee for the, visit of the Canadians not having yet been received from the N.Z.F.A. the secretary promised to make specific inquiries as to the delay. Mr Jas Wallace, Huntly, advised that candidates for the South Auckland Referees' badge having desired to undergo examination, the secretary advised that he would prepare the necessary papers, and visit Huntly, before the end of the present month. Subject to the approval of the N.Z.F.A. and the Auckland F.A., Claudelands Rovers were given permission to play a match against Ponsonby on October 15, at Hamilton, the Hamilton Club to be responsible for the ground preparations and hire of goal posts. Mr Jas Douglas advised' that the Huntly district clubs had not completed the Huntly District Sunshine Cup matches, and the secretary is to make further inquiries into this matter.
