L.G.U. CHALLENGE BOWL. INTERESTING GAMES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Monday. The L.G.U. Challenge bowl was won by Miss Gladys Seifert (Manuwatu), with a score of 78, 7—71. The next best cards were:—Mrs J. A. Harris (Wanganui), 91, 19—72; Mrs Dignan (Auckland), 88, 15—73; Miss F. Monrad (Manuwatu), 92, 19—73; Miss M. Cooper (Auckland), 82, 8—74; Miss A. Ormond (Napier), 83, 9—74. In the play-off of the bogey handicap, first division, Miss S. Acheson (Nelson), 2 up, beat Miss H. Laurenson (Auckland), 1 up. In the second division Mrs W. D. Cooke (Wellington), 2 up, beat Miss M. White (Napier), all square.

Dull and somewhat cold conditions, with a threat of rain, prevailed this morning, when the fourth round of the Dominion Ladies’ Golf Championships was contested on the Hokowhitu links. Some close contests eventuated, in that between Miss Culling (Auckland) and Mrs Williams (Masterlon) the former champion going to the 23rd hole. Results: — Miss Culling beat 'Mrs Williams, 1 up. , Miss Payton beat Mrs. Sclanders, 1 up. Miss Upton heat Miss Stevens, 3 and 2. Mrs. Collinson beat Mrs. Dodgshfin, 2 up.
