LONDON’S LORD MAYOR.

VISIT TO ROME. A CORDIAL RECEPTION. VISIT TO KING EMMANUEL. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October '2. The Lord Mayor of London, Sir Rowland Blades, with Lady Blades and their two daughters and the Sheriffs of London and their wives, broke their journey to Rome at Pisa yesterday. There they were received by the King and Queen of Italy. Entering the" Royal motor cars sent to meet them the members of the party drove to the hunting lodge at San Rossore, where the Royal family is in residence.

The Lord Mayor and sheriffs were received by King Vic Lor Emmanuel, who chatted with them for about an hour. The Queen received Lady Blades, her daughters and the wives of the sheriffs. All the visitors were delighted with their reception. At Turin, Genoa, and Pisa the party received warm welcomes.
