OBITUARY.

FATHER BRENNAN. FAMOUS ASTRONOMER. (Received October 4, 11.30 a.m ) ST. LOUIS, October 3. Father Brennan, the famous astronomer, is dead. REV. E. H. TAYLOR. The death has occurred in Cornwall, England, of the Rev. Edmund Harvey Taylor, well known iu the Thames distrist as pastor of the Church of Christ for 40 years, and as representative for Thames in Parliament from 1909 to 1911. For many years he identified himself with the temperance movement, and was a foundation member of the New Zealand Alliance. RESIDENTS OF CAMBRIDGE. Mrs Maria Brown died at Fencourt, Cambridge, yesterday morning, aged 96 years. She had been bedridden for seven years but she retained all her mental faculties until the last. Mrs Ann Wattam, who had been a resident of Cambridge for 50 years, died on Sunday in her 83rd year.
