The film " The Birth of a Flower," which Mr Clarke Irvine is to exhibit here once only, Wednesday, matinee at 2 p.m., is one of the, most astonishing motion' pictures over made, as -t shows flowers actually moving in the process of blooming, something attained onlv through the specially built clock-work camera of A. C. PlLslmry, the naturalist and inventor. It is equipped with two microscopes, which enables the audience to see the actual germinating grains of pollen, with the tiny bodies of protoplasm in motion. In "addition to showing the wonucrs and beauties of a growing flower, MrIrvine is to exhibit and lecture upon interesting travel scenes, beautiful Yoscmile Valley and California's high Sierra ranges with thrilling air view-,, novel bird and animal life, beautiful winter scenes and comic snow batt'es. This marvellous picture is endorsed by educators as the best means of teaching natural history, botany and geographv. It lias been approved by the Auckland Education Board and arrangements are being made for Hamilton school children to attend Wednesday's showing.
