ENTERTAINMENTS.

STRAND & FRANKTON THEATRES. "The Telephone Girl," adapted from a William C. De Mille play "The Woman," brings glory to the lady of the busy wires. Madge Bellamy plays the title role as Kilty O'Brien. The second part of the programme features the big comedy, "See You in Jail," which is called a "gagless" comedy. It is a First National picture produced by Ray Rockett with Jack Mulhall featured. The comedy is all a part of the plot—situation comedy—and no gags are necessary.

THEATR- ROYAL An actual and devastating forest lire in all its angry colour distinguishes the melodrama, "Flames," which has set the critics by their cars, and which will be screened tonight only at the Theatre Royal. The blaze provides one of the most exciting climaxes, and one. of the most beautiful scenes filmed this season. Virginia Valli, Eugene O'Brien, Jean Hersholt and Byrant Washburn hold the principal roles. OH! WHAT A NURSE!" "Oh! What a Nurse!" the new Syd. Chaplin picture which comes tomorrow night, for a run of three days, is said to be one of the funniest pictures ever screened. Critics' in other cities have used up all the adjectives they've got in trying to say that this picture will get every laugh you've got. They all agree it is funnier than "Charley's Aunt" or "The Man on the Box," the pictures that lifted Syd. Chaplin to the top as a screen comedian.
