FISHING SEASON.
FAIR BAGS SECURED. The opening of the season on Saturday was taken full advantage of and several hags were secured hy local sportsmen. , A party of three rods at Hora Hora landed 26 trout of an average weight of oil)., the-heaviest heing 01b. A party at No. 1 Bridge secured an 81b. average bag, the largest trout being 101 b., while the smallest turned the scale at 4,"u. Although no advice of bags at Horotiu has been reported, it is understood that fish are very numerous there.
